PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

It is my great pleasure to write to you for the last edition of the newsletter for this term. There are many activities that happened during the term and overall, I am very pleased. On Friday March 16th, we celebrated the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. There were activities held in the classroom, Grade 4 students prepared a presentation at the morning assembly. We finished the week with the poster competition. I would like to thank Mrs Pandher for her efforts and preparation and the students for their commitment to make our school a better and safer place.

We celebrated Harmony Day last week. On Monday, March 19th, some of our Grade 3 students performed Chinese Fan Dance at the launch event for Diversity Week at Kids Town organised by the City Council. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the students and their teacher, Mrs Singh, for their excellent performance. On Wednesday, March 21st, with the help of our parents, we celebrated the Harmony Day with students’ performances and the supply of delicious food from different countries. I would like to thank our staff members and parents for their excellent work and support. We raised $413 and donated to The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

We have started celebrating our students’ birthdays at Monday morning assemblies. Each child receives a present from school and a birthday card prepared by the homeroom teachers. We sing the Happy Birthday song during assemblies and I believe this helps students to connect to the school more and improve their overall learning.

Before ending my message, I would like to share a few things with you.

Regards,

Mr. Adem Engin
Principal
